Confessions of a wandering soul

Sometimes I need to humble myself. I had gotten so caught up in what I was being told at university - true things, but half-truths, never the whole truth. And it just gets so confusing. In my attempt to deal with these things I neglected my heart, my need for good friends surrounding me, and my need for the Word. And so I just went lower and lower.

Each time something like this happens I wonder why I didn't catch on. I should have known better. But I suppose there are some things we just never learn.

So I'm okay. I had a bit of a climax point where I freaked out and was ready to throw out everything I knew. It's been building up to that point for quite a while. I think it probably needed to get that bad so that I could come out of it. Maybe not. I don't know. But I know that this way I can say I've been there and I can identify key mistakes I made. And I made some important discoveries too. Nothing is for nothing. I know that.

So life goes on. You find out the people who really care about you when you go down like that. (special thanks to 2 or 3 people in particular... i love you) Life is crazy. But I need to remember that God is constant. I DO know that for sure. And even if it's the only thing I've got, it's enough to keep me afloat.

Horray for saying goodbye to overwhelming intellectual stimuli in 5 weeks!!
